Turkish defence industry company Aselsan has announced the signing of an international export contract worth $1.1 billion to supply air defence systems to an international client, in a new deal that strengthens the company's presence in the global military industry market.

In an official disclosure published via Turkey's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company said it had signed an export agreement related to the sale of air defence systems, with a total value of $1.1 billion.

The company did not disclose the name of the client or the country that will receive the systems, saying only that it is an international client, according to the disclosure published on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.

Aselsan explained that the agreement represents a new commercial relationship and is expected to have a positive impact on the company's revenues, without announcing further details on the nature of the systems covered by the contract or the delivery and implementation schedule.

Expanding Turkish defence industry exports

The deal comes amid efforts by Turkish defence industry companies to expand their exports and strengthen their presence in international markets, particularly in the fields of air defence systems, radars and advanced military technologies.

Aselsan is one of Turkey's leading defence industry companies, working on the development and production of military communications systems, defence electronics, radars, electronic warfare systems and air defence.

On 2 October, the company announced the signing of a sale and export contract for air defence systems to a final user abroad worth 488.5 million euros, according to a previous disclosure via the KAP platform.

The new contract, valued at $1.1 billion, reflects the company's continued expansion in the export of air defence systems, while the identity of the client and the technical details of the deal remain undisclosed so far.
